Anne Arundel County Police Names Cpl. Robert Koch LGBTQ+ Liaison Officer
Annapolis, MD – Anne Arundel County Police have named Cpl. Robert Koch as the county’s first LGBTQ+ liaison officer, Friday.
In response to the need to cater to the needs and concerns of the LGBTQ+ community within the county, Anne Arundel County Police has responded by naming Cpl. Robert Koch as the liaison officer.
Cpl. Robert Koch, a member of the LGBTQ+ community himself, joined the department in 2012 and currently with the Bureau of Patrol, Eastern Region.
“As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I feel honored and excited to be the LGBTQ+ Liaison for the Anne Arundel County Police Department. As liaison, my responsibilities will be responding to the questions/concerns of the citizens, attending community functions, acquiring relevant training for officers, recruiting new officers, and establishing a support system.
The top priority is to make sure the LGBTQ+ community and the public, in general, know that the police department is here to protect and serve all residents without judgment or prejudice.” Cpl. Robert Koch
