Gov. Hogan Calls Firing Maryland Football Coach, DJ Durkin, A Big Step Forward
Annapolis, MD – Gov. Hogan stated this morning he was shocked and outraged by the decision of the Maryland Board of Regents to reinstate DJ Durkin, former Maryland Football Coach but praised University of Maryland President Wallace Loh’s decision to fire the coach a big step forward.
This followed a statement released by the Governor registering his concern on the lack of transparency from the Board of Regents and how they could have possibly arrived at the decision to reinstate the football coach.
The President of the institution has however walked back the decision of Regents and fired the coach.
