True Food Kitchen’s Annapolis Towne Center restaurant still appears open after the Scottsdale, Arizona-based chain filed for voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and closed 12 locations nationwide.

The company said in an Oct. 5 statement that the closed restaurants served their final day Oct. 4 and that its remaining 34 restaurants in 14 states are open and serving guests as usual.

"True Food Kitchen is a pioneering brand with a distinctive position in wellness-driven dining, a loyal community of guests, and a mission that is more relevant than ever," said Jeff Chandler, Chief Executive Officer of True Food Kitchen. "This process is the best path forward to simplify the business and focus on what we do best: delivering craveable, health-forward food and genuine hospitality. We are confident this step will help us build a stronger True Food Kitchen for the future."

The chain will pursue a court-supervised sale process and has asked the court to approve continued payments to employees and cooperation with vendors during the case.

The company’s website still lists the Annapolis restaurant at 1906 Towne Center Blvd., Suite 110, with regular hours.
